Kabar baik bagi para penggemar BlackBerry. Model touchscreen storm baru saja dirilis, kini blackberry sedang mempersiapkan lagi handset terbaru mereka. Menurut bocoran, model terbaru dengan sandi Magnum dan Pluto, akan merupakan gabungan antara BB Bold, BB Javelin dan BB Storm, jadi bisa touchscreen dan juga tetap memiliki qwerty keyboard yang rupanya lebih mudah bagi pemakai untuk mengetik.
Model baru ini yang kemungkinan diberi kode 9900 (pluto) akan mendukung GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS, GPS, Camera, Wi-Fi (tanpa UMA support), keyboard QWERTY, layar dengan resolusi 480×360 dan untuk produk awal dijual oleh operator AT&T (Amerika).
Spesifikasi lebih lengkapnya baru akan diberitahukan kemudian.
Jadwal rilis nya pun masih tentatif, tapi kemungkinan besar di quarter ke tiga dan keempat 2009.

Smartphone BlackBerry Curve 8520 atau Gemini yang telah dirilis RIM ternyata masih memiliki banyak kelemahan, di antaranya tidak ada koneksi 3G, namun desainnya tampak langsing dan trackpad optical yang handal. Spesifikasi lainnya masih sama dengan seri BlackBerry lainnya, seperti koneksi Wi-Fi, EDGE, camera 2 megapiksel, namun tanpa akses GPS dan belum ada konfirmasi harga pastinya untuk smartphone satu ini.
